“You have to understand who wins when you win.” – Antuan is a wonderful person and is definitely an inspiration! I wanted to re-blog this post because it’s simple and straight to the point.
This week has been one of the best weeks I’ve had. Thinking back to when I first toyed with the idea of starting a blog, I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to open up and be transparent. In retrospect, that was probably one of the best decisions I made. I was nervous about the first entry. It took me almost an hour to hit the Publish button. It seems like it was yesterday. My hands were shaking, my heart had exceeded its normal pace. I sat there staring at the screen reading and re-reading the words I had written. Finally, I got a surge of courage and hit “publish” and quickly closed the laptop. I often wonder if this is helping anybody besides me. I think of the impact it is having on others. Is it even having an impact? The last few days have confirmed its impact…

Sometimes it amazes me when I pause and realized how many low cost and free services there are to help in our day-to-day tasks. Many people say they hate having a bunch of e-mails coming in but if I get something useful once a month, it’s worth it to me.
As I was clearing out my second inbox, I came across a message from the wonderful folks at Daily Worth (http://www.dailyworth.com) that was sitting there waiting to be discovered since February 2nd. The subject: “Who doesn’t want an extra hundred bucks?”. Ya know I had to at least open it and scan it really quick.
Enter BillGuard. This service allows you to register and scan or monitor up to 3 cards for free. You submit your card’s online account information (they get read only access) and they scan to see if there are any fishy looking transactions. Since it was free, I figured it was worth a try.
Although I’m a newbie, I like how easy and quick it was to set up my BillGuard (https://www.billguard.com) account and link my bank debit card. It literally took less than 5 minutes to register, link my bank card and get scan results. I’d say, it’s worth checking into for anyone who has an debit or credit card.
Until next time, use your funds wisely.

Although I wasn’t crazy about her dress, the second I saw Anne Hathaway’s Oscar necklace I thought to myself… CLEARLY SHE READS MY BLOG!!!! lol Her Tiffany & Co necklace reminded me of a petite version of the brooch necklace I crafted a few weeks ago (here). I see you Anne! In honor of Anne’s Oscar win and what has become a little “DIY an Oscar winners necklace” tradition around here, I present to you a DIYable version of Anne’s Oscar night stunner…
Now I have to admit I cheated a little #womp I got lucky and stumbled upon these mini brooches, but don’t worry if you can find any because they’re easy to create. Compile a collection of your favorite rhinestone buttons. Earrings are also a good alternative too. You can pic up basic…

I am such a DIVA when it comes to selecting fragrances that I will wear. Honestly, my skin and body chemistry are the
true divas. Some scents smell so nice…until I spray them on. So, I have a right to be picky. 🙂
One of my favorite all time scents is Today’s D.F.T. (Diva’s Favorite Things). It is none other than Heavenly by Victoria’s Secret. This is one of the selections from the V.S. Dream Angels collection. It was discontinued a few years ago to my dismay. I was trying to use a little bit at a time and only on special occasions to make it stretch. I looked online, scouring e-bay and Amazon.com to try and find it. But I’m so glad that my love has found it’s way back on the shelves in V.S. stores.
Heavenly is a light but very present scent that will stay with you all day. I recall when I first purchased a bottle of Heavenly, how I just adored smelling so good! One day, I was sitting in my office at work and could not figure out for the life of me why in the world I was so joyful and excited. After the day was almost over, I realized that I had been smelling my wrists all day. The fragrance was giving me such a rush! So if you ever wanna get something outta me, sniff first to see if I’m wearing Heavenly and you’ve got a good chance of getting it!
Have a divalicious remainder of the week!

Muffin top. Spare tire. Gut. Belly.
These words make us cringe. A huge problem for many people is their midsection. Eating light and going for a walk make a difference in being healthy and fit…except for the midsection. I’ve been a member of SparkPeople.com for a couple years now and they offer great tips, workouts, support and trackers for FREE!
Today’s Diva.Body post is featuring one of the workouts from Spark People. To help whip your midsection into a shape other than round, author Jessica Smith offers a circuit of 6 exercises.
